It's the same kind of level as the recently released F/A-18 from the same developer, that is to say, it's a 'jump in and go' nice model, which is pretty on the numbers in how it flies, looks good and gets good performance. So it has a 'nod' toward the avionics of the real thing but not super-duper realistic, so you can get it up and blast it around without requiring you to study a manual for days before you can even figure out how to start the engines.

There’s something to be said for that .I’ve not flown the DCS F18 for a few months and sure enough I can’t remember how to start it ..again 

787 captain.  

Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.
