May 25, 20206 yr I'm chompin at the bit to get some big iron into V5. I have a bad feeling that the 777 for V5 is going to be a new version and new purchase much like NGXu was. So no V5 support for the current version of the 777. Speculation but past behaviour is a very good indicator of future behaviour. I beat its that same deal. Buy the 777u before such and such a date and receive that as a credit toward the T73 for MSFS. 😆🤣😭🤢🤮😒 I'm probably wrong!😁 Edited May 25, 20206 yr by Quasimodo

May 25, 20206 yr I honestly wish they would redo the 777 and give it the internal PBR/External PBR, New Flight Model, Ground Handling,FMC update etc. I know they probably wont do this however I cant imagine just external PBR on the 777 going forward. At some point it will need a full cosmetic update and hopefully before FS2020. 9800x3d | 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram |MSI Gaming Trio OC 5090 @ 3.0GHZ | X870e Mag Tomahawk | 2x 2TB M.2 | Lian LI Dynamic XL ROG Case | Hotas Warthog Joystick and Throttle, Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Corsair Nightblade | K95 RGB| | LG 28" 4k, Dell 34" AW3420DW Ultrawide| Windows 10 Pro | MSFS2024 | Custom Water Loop |

Yeah, I know, I just like stirring the pot.🤣 What I really want to know is when I am getting the NGXu and the 777 in Prepar3D V5. And no I am not installing without a V5 installer. 😒

Excuse me for not taking this the humorous way, but why would you want to spread fake news? 3 minutes ago, Quasimodo said: What I really want to know is when I am getting the NGXu and the 777 in Prepar3D V5. And no I am not installing without a V5 installer. They said the NGXu comes after the 747 is out so I assume they are working on right now after clearing some bugs of the new 747 for v5. Then comes the 777. The 747 gave us a benchmark and for the NGXu they said they aren't expecting more than a few weeks of testing. So probably still some 2 weeks or so. I'm using the NGXu in P3D v5 and I have to turn off HDR because otherwise the cockpit will be very dark. Also PBR in general seems in need to be reworked slightly to account for changes in lighting in v5. The EFB performance pages can't be used because you can't load the airport databases since it's obviously still looking for v4 paths. Other than that it works fine. Although I can't rule out the NGXu is the reason I keep getting blue screens in P3D v5, although I doubt it.

Other than that it works fine Actually, if you own the 747-8i and have it already installed in v5, the EFB in the NGXu will be functional again as well. 😉 It just works after loading the Data (Base Scenery + Add-Ons) in the 747-8i. When you then switch to the NGXu, Performance Calculation should be available. Of course, this is just a temporary workaround for those who also have the 748, but maybe it's of help for a few of you out there 🙂
