June 20, 20205 yr Hello, I am reinstalling my games and programs after I reset my computer. I am coming across some errors that read that the file is corrupted or that the "source" file is corrupted on both GSX and P3D installers. Is this a problem with my computer or is it the installer? I've tried the basic things like restarting, starting as admin, new installer, all that. My belief is that the computer files may be corrupt after the reset? June 20, 20205 yr What do you mean when you say you "reset your computer"? What did the log file referenced in the error message show? Sure sounds like the drive with your installers on it has been corrupted. I'd run chkdsk /f on it to start...if it throws a bunch of errors, I'd reformat and restore my last backup. My bad, I should've elaborated more, I reset my PC meaning I reinstalled windows and deleted all my applications, it gave me the option to keep my personal files so I chose that. I opened the log and it said a jumble of stuff. The ones I found that may be helpful said something along the lines of this: Failed to extract all files from container, Failed to begin and wait for operation and Failed to extract payload. I ran chkdsk /c and d, it said it had found problems.I repaired them restarted my pc, still didnt work. Plus I would like to add that I am having checksum errors when trying to extract P3D from a RAR file. Edited June 20, 20205 yr by 991ce

Checksum errors indicate the compressed file is corrupt. Download it again and verify the checksum. P3D uses a MD5 check. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

The hashtab utility linked is a good one or you can use the built in CERTUTIL command in windows 10 https://www.thewindowsclub.com/verify-md5-checksum-of-files-using-certutil/ Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Thank you so much. I determined for my other GSX products that I was trying to install that it was indeed my antivirus messing it up. Thanks for the help.
