Flysimware Lear 35A Latest Version

Featured Replies

Hello,

 P3D V4.5 (WIN 10 64 BIT

I have assigned a key to "ARM" the spoilers prior to touch down, when I select key Spoilers deploy in the air this is not supposed to happen once spoilers armed the usual deployment is caused by the air /ground sense typical via a teleflex cable (old school)  from the maim gear under carriage, I followed the procedure by going to the G1000 Soft Key No 6 in the controls menu is this a fault with S/Ware or have I done something wrong.

Please advise fix.

30-series Learjets do not have autospoilers.  They are deployed manually with a caged switch on the throttle quadrant...the switch doesn't "arm/disarm" the spoilers, it extends/retracts them.

Hi Rob

Thanks for your input, in this case the  terminology used "ARM" is totally incorrect, I could see it it was simply deployed or stowed on the guarded switch but that is not easy to operate on touchdown, most larger transport /corporate A/C spoilers have the arm function and deploy on landing the only manual input is to stow them after "roll out"

You’ll need to use two switch assignments - one to extent spoilers and the other to retract. In the Lear 35, spoilers are “all or nothing” - either all the way up, or fully retracted.

Most airliners have some form of auto spoiler deploy on landing. In the corporate jet world, some do, some don’t.

The Flysimware Lear35 manual points out there is no arming of the spoilers. The kneeboard seems to incorrectly have the checklist for the Lear45, and you can arm the Lear45 spoilers.
