Cant say which video it was but there were some scenes in rain where you could saw such effects!

Maybe you find the vid, here is their channel:

But I don't think we need to worry, the simulator will sure looking good . . .

This has been something I've wished for in a sim for years. Turn strobe on inside a cloud in the real world and see what happens.. try it on any current sim and, well nothing.

This effect was present in FS4! I remember flying the Lear thru clouds and the whole screen was strobing! Was really neat and its a pity we dont have sims that replicate this. Hoping that MSFS has this.

It’s been said before there would be volumetric landing lights. Don’t know about strobes. Look at the Soundscape episode and watch the scene at 9:20 to get an impression.

Its hard to judge from this video but I dont see that the landing lights lighting up the rain. When lights hit rain its supposed to shine like broken glass.

What do you see it's lighting up then? Or in a shot like this?

I see its lighting up the wet runway. Unless i missed something...  There is an issue with the image so cant see it.
