Moving Map Functionality?

Featured Replies

Hello all, long time lurker here.  Like many of you, I'm eagerly anticipating this release.  A question for those who may know:

Will MSFS have a moving map so that you can monitor where you are during a flight?  And if not embedded into the title already, perhaps a 3rd party tool/add-on that might do the same?

Thanks!

There is a basic moving map integrated which can be seen on some videoclips. Moreover, as MSFS supports Simconnect, you can use Simconnect-based external Moving Map programs, at least in principle (although they may require a bit of modification for specific functions).

Kind regards, Michael

Can you name some ext. moving maps that may work? And if it's possible to have them on an extra laptop or Ipad?

I guess Little Navmap could be a candidate

Lots of maps will probably work, because it still uses simconnect etc. just like FSX.

I would recommend SimToolkitPro, it's fantastic and it's even free.

Yes, I have used it with P3D, but only on the same PC. So in other words, it should work with MSFS on a laptop, because of SimConnect?
