August 9, 20205 yr Thank you Al - your effects file does help in P3D4,5 - mostly by day which now looks reasonable. By night there are still problems with the lights not having any angle downwards and thus needing super wide light cones coupled with very high intensity in order to show the ground ahead. This, in turn, can still cause building wipe-out right to the top of hangers when you are approaching them. (The effect is worse in some sceneries than others. I've found). But I can live with all this a bit better now... Ariel

Ariel I agree the landing and taxi lights would benefit from being angled down more, but according to Mark that would require an aircraft update rather then just a patch, and is not something I can do myself. So maybe that is something for the next full update of the Falcon50. In the meantime, turn off the landing light once you exit the runway. 😉 Al

FSW has made the Falcon50 landing/taxi light fix for P3Dv4.5 and P3Dv5 available on the Falcon50 product page here: https://flysimware.com/website2019/flysimwares-falcon-50/ Al Edited August 10, 20205 yr by ark

Backup the original Falcon50.cab file as suggested above so you can easily reuse it if necessary. I will pass on the landing lights issue to Mark at FSW so he is aware of your input. Al The new cab file worked fine. The breaks come on with the first notch and go back off when the switch is all the way up. Thanks!

Great -- I appreciate the feedback. I expect then that the updated brake code will be incorporated into the next Falcon50 update. Al
