FSX-MS turn and ball in C172 -how to activate?

Using rudder pedals, how do you activate the ball in the turn-and-ball indicator?  I can't get it to respond to rudder inputs.

Does it respond to aileron?

Make sure you don’t have auto rudder clicked in the FSX options. Sounds like what might be going on.

Great suggestion! I probably did not disable auto-rudder.

I'll report results.  Thanks to all.

Bingo.  The ball is now all over the place but that's my flying, not FSX.
