August 12, 20205 yr So we've got several custom 3D buildings in Panama, of all places. So much for the theory that MSFS has less custom building models than FSX, I guess.
August 12, 20205 yr Author The entire area looked to me like the work of an exterior decorator, a good one from Beverly Hills.
August 12, 20205 yr I enjoyed that video, and I saw it a few days ago. Actually, I think I saw it a couple of times already (yeah, bored, waiting for launch). I noticed that the Panama City waterfront/skyline didn't look anything like in the pictures. In real life the waterfront is densly filled with skyscrapers of which many were translated into just small houses. That ends up making a bit of an odd impression, and actually something that looks more akin to fsx and p3d. Of course I can live with that, just pointing that out. That's the AI trying to measure building heights for the autogen and not getting it right yet in many cases. That was the first time though that I've seen buildings being too short. Most of the times, they're too tall.

Unfortunately I think it’s hard to have data for the height of the buildings. The AI can “see” shapes and roof colors on the imagery, but can’t “see” the height of the buildings. Maybe they can get data for that on the future. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

Just pointing it out that Panama City didn't really look believable to me. However, they ARE using AI to make this happen, so as time goes on and they teach it more things, it will improve. Shadow over shadow. You can see it on Tokyo it’s like everything is a big massive shadow. 😂 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
August 12, 20205 yr It's interesting when you look at the Bing satellite image of Panama City. It's taken at a highly oblique angle, and I guess that confused the AI even more.

I just had a look at Chuo City, Tokyo in GE the long shadows are well individualized Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
