August 18, 20205 yr newbie supposed to do? New kid wants to fly the C172. When it only has a G1000? You gotta be kidding me. And, there is NO manual included with the download version for anything. And even though the new kid might be able to figure something out some of the instruments, I doubt if he/she could ever trim it for straight and level flight. The control response just sucks - that's the only way I can put it (and, yes, I have 300+ hours in the real thing). This is a really pathetic effort by MS. The more I look at this sim the less enchanted I become. Seems to be less about flight simulation than it is about eye-candy. But, I'll eventually get over it. End of rant.................... August 18, 20205 yr There are checklists in the menu, and they highlight the exact button that needs to be actioned. One of the versions has a 172 with gauges, but it's not in the Standard version.

August 18, 20205 yr I think the premise is kinda funny here. Newbies can't figure out a glass 'pit but 25 steam gauges are a piece of cake? I like steam gauges too, but I also know how to read them. Newbies won't have any idea what most of them are telling them, and the ones they think they understand, they probably don't (lookin' at you, ASI).
