This is a software issue. Almost identical panels. One has a knob that the other does not have. September 9, 20205 yr Well I can't argue with that, but I'm not building a home cockpit and it gets the job done. I'm not even going to tell you what kind of cheap-word not allowed joystick I'm using now. You would not be impressed... AMD 7800X3D, RTX 4090, 42" LG C3 OLED 4K TV/Monitor

I've got "Increase Autopilot Reference Altitude" and "Decrease Autopilot Reference Altitude" set to buttons, plus a whole lot of other stuff programed, after I ran out of buttons on my joystick. I don't care when MS gets around to adding the missing ALT SEL knob. I'll never be using it again anyway. But if one doesn't have the hardware then, of course, your method works fine. I tried turning off the bit in the XML that disables autopilot, and while it re-enabled the "logic" it didn't actually add a knob to the display. I suspect that would need some changes to the configuration of the interior object themselves which is an area I'm not familiar with. One thing I've been thinking about doing is adding an alt select option to a softkey in my G1000 mod (configurable only for folks who want it, to keep the default as "realistic" as possible. Would folks be interested in that?
