Hi Ryan. It adds a lot to immersion when you've got your airliner parked at the gate.

Ahhh interesting.  See that's where my flight would quit LOL....  If I were to do a rare airliner flight....once I pulled into the Flightbeam/FSDT/LVFR gate I just shutdown and exit.  I suppose if you guys are doing all the FSDT GSX stuff you're waiting for the food carts, and fuel, and baggage etc etc.  And you're getting weather and programming FMS et al.  I can see that then.

I know Mountain Air from previous sims, have built a lot of scenery (ortho and airports) just a little bit west of there (it's my #1 favorite area to fly).

My second MSFS flight was out of NC08.

Great area!

I actually often skip GSX stuff, not really pilot duties!

But I run through my checklists (with Voice Attack) and program the FMC etc (this is PMDG or Maddog 95% of the time). I actually try and keep this part snappy because I want to use a flight simulator, not a "sitting at the gate loading pax" simulator. 🙂

Still, having a nice terminal in front of you helps the immersion even if time at the gate is relatively short.

For a smaller airport with a great interior that you might use GA aircraft at, check our Orbx KMBS. I've used avatar mode to start off in the temrinal, walk to the plane and go from there. Gives me a much better sense of being at the place than when I just start in the cockpit.
