August 19, 20205 yr hi everybody, with the R key and then crtl and num + or - we can adjust the time rate. but how can we view it? so we will know in what time rate we are in every moment? also i can't find a way to watch the frame rate inside the sim. i use afterburner to do it externally but i don't trust it 100%. thank you Nikos Kasimatis
August 19, 20205 yr If you’re using steam you can turn on the steam FPS overlay. That’s what I do. Otherwise windows key-g will bring up the frame rate along with cpu, GPU, memory utilization. Unfortunately there’s no way to keep that all visible in sim nor is there a display for the current time acceleration. What I do if I’m not sure it reduce the sim rate multiple times, which will bring it to the slowest rate of 1/4. Since you know where you are you can then increase twice to get back to 1x. It’s a workaround until we hopefully get some better onscreen information. August 19, 20205 yr Yeah the lack of feedback on the time acceleration is a real issue. I mapped keys to increase and decrease it, but good luck getting it back to 1x. (if anyone has a workaround I would love to hear it). You'd think it would be easy to find 1x, but there seems to be a lot of different speeds and flying over water it was actually hard to gauge. For FPS, there's an option in the general settings to turn on "developer mode". That gave me fps and a lot more info. Nothing on time acceleration though. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

August 19, 20205 yr Author this is what i was doing also but in a more... "proficient" way: i was comparing the seconds of the fly time, with my computer clock seconds, to be sure they change in the same rhythm so i was sure i got it back to the 1x 🙂 🙂 🙂 hope they will fix it soon Nikos Kasimatis

Thanks, I could not remember what the scale was originally. I flew MSFS way back in the day but hadn't touched it in a long time. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
August 19, 20205 yr One way is to choose Developer in the settings and a menu will pop up in the upper left where you can turn on the frame rate , CPU, and GPU loads Semper Fi
August 23, 20205 yr I'm using Steam. I don't have anything showing up when I open the Developer View, just a blank page with the option to turn it on and off. (I'm trying to get rid of the little green frame rates number)
