August 19, 20205 yr I finally downloaded the SDK (settings > general > developer mode, go to toolbar, help, download SDK). I loaded into the sim with it, created a new project / package, and chose "Scenery Editor." When I did this, the entire existing airport scenery disappeared and I was essentially left to start from scratch. How can I simply edit the existing scenery? I just want to edit taxiway sign naming / placement. Edited August 19, 20205 yr by FlyingInACessna

August 19, 20205 yr There SDK comes with tutorials. If you read them it is explained how you can do that.

August 27, 20205 yr I am interested in this as well. I would like to re-build most of my home airport, but use what they have created as a base. They already have all the runways and apron/taxi ways defined, so would be unecessary to start from scratch. I really just wish to improve the scenery and add custom models. You guys think this is probably just not possible yet?
August 27, 20205 yr Right now you cannot update a stock airport. You have to create a new version of the airport from scratch which also excludes the stock airport. There are 3rd party solutions being developed.
August 27, 20205 yr https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/ This is the place to go to learn anything FS add-ons, alot of great minds over there. Some seem to be getting their feet wet with the new sim. But just like FSX when it was first released, the SDK is not to in depth, yet. ASUS Prime Z490-A / i7-10700K / RTX 4080 / G.SKILL Ripjaws 32GB / Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic case
