August 20, 20205 yr Looking at the weather report last night, I read that there was rather stormy weather forecast for part of the UK, and so I thought, why not take a quick hop from Leeds to London in the morning. And so here we are with the sleek looking TBM 930 parked at the Leeds Airport Multiflight hangar, the weather is much better than I expected! Winds are from the east, holding short of the active runway to taxi out for a RWY 14 departure. What's particularly interesting here is the very noticeable slope of the runway, this really adds so much to the overall look and feel of being immersed in a true to life environment. The slope from the perspective of RWY 32 with the TBM 930 right at the end, ready for takeoff. And we're off, climbing out towards FL 210 for this short hop to EGLC. The city of Bradford below, the large white structure above the wing on the port side is a Marks & Spencer distribution centre. The 50 knot headwind is almost directly on the nose of the aircraft. If you were stuck back in the luggage compartment, this would be the view towards the cockpit. 😉 High above East Midlands Airport (EGNX). Always good to have company, even on a short flight like this. Sywell Aerodrome visible just in front of the starboard wing. Cruising at FL 210 and passing Bedford Aerodrome now. The city of Bedford with Bedford Aerodrome in the distance. Never thought I would see so many recognizable sights, the circular area is the Milbrook Vehicle Proving Ground. Flying east of Luton Airport, the weather still seems very good! That is Welwyn Garden City with the Panshanger Golf Complex almost directly below us now. The London skyline is now clearly visible, we are flying right above Banbury Reservoir, with Lockwood Reservoir, Low Maynard Reservoir, High Maynard Reservoir, Walthamstow Reservoirs and a bunch of other reservoirs visible off the nose. Crossing over London City Airport now with the famous Thames Barrier very well depicted, a landmark that can't be missed! ATC cleared me for a RWY 27 visual approach, just before a bad weather front arrived. As I turned off the engine at the GA parking the sky became all dark and gloomy with rain starting. I hope you enjoyed this short pictorial of my flight this morning in the lovely TBM 930 from Leeds to London! Cheers, Jerome Edited August 20, 20205 yr by jzimmermann

August 20, 20205 yr Author Hi Ryan, Thanks, weird though that the SIDs and STARs on the TBM 930 seem to be missing, whereas they are available in the Longitude, have you noticed this too? At least the 930's fuel consumption isn't draining like there'a hole in the fuel tank, in the Longitude it seems totally off. Cheers, Jerome
