Can't turn off Developer FPS meter - help

Featured Replies

I enabled the Developer black task bar and turned on the FPS monitoring overlay the other day. Got sick of looking at it today, so I turned it off. But when I turn off developer mode (to get rid of the black bar across the top of my screen), the FPS meter pops back on. Can't seem to get rid of both the Developer mode bar and the FPS meter. Anyone?

In developer mode, disable the FPS overlay. Then disable developer mode.

Yes... and when I do that, the FPS overlay pops back up.

[EDIT]: Okay! I exited the sim and restarted, the overlay was gone. Problem solved. Thanks!

It's a bug. Switch off FPS display, then disable dev mode, ignore that FPS display comes back, then quit MFS and restart.

Developer mode is where they put things that are not suited or not ready for mainstream use, like the FPS meter and the aircraft selector.

I doubt those features are a priority to "fix" (nor should they be) and if they ever are fixed they will probably get moved out of developer mode and into the main sim menus.
