How to see Airport info while in flight

Featured Replies

While flying - how do I bring up the airport information, (elevation, runway heading, ILS frequency) as was available in FSX by clicking on the round airport icon in the map?

It seems this should be obvious but in three hours of flying the 152 low and slow around San Diego and Seattle/Tacoma I can find no way to acquire that info while in flight.  I have to use AirNav in a separate window.

I have not yet installed Navigraph but will do so while waiting for a reply.

I don’t think you can in the native sim... I miss being able to pull up the flight planner mid flight to see details and or make a new flight plan on the fly without exiting.

Thanks - I installed Navigraph and it works perfectly so I guess the missing map info in the sim is no big deal

Yeah I canceled my subscription back when I didn’t want to deal with updating p3d... but looks like I should probably subscribe again.

You can get that info from the sim also with free moving maps utilities i.e. Little Navmap

Yes. I don't run that setup but it provides a little additional utility to do that.. or the like of it.

It has good documentation and a support forum here on avsim, you should have no problems.

Only thing is that you should have an fsx/p3d installation to build the scenery database since it yet does not parse MSFS scenery data

I get airport information by alt-tabbing out to skyvector.com.  I also use it in flight for navigation.
