Pilot2atc is working with MFS2020

Recommended Posts

For the ones, who prefer offline flying with atc, Pilot2atc; which is a very good tool for air traffic control including speech recognition, detailed flight planning and a moving map, is working with MFS2020 via FSUIPC7. I tested and seems to be working fine. But, as I realised, apart from Pilot2atc, FSUIPC is causing dramatic FPS drops. I hope this will be fixed in the near future. I wanted to share this info to whom it may concern.

Happy flying...

I cant get pilot2ATC to tell me to decend

You need to use FSUIPC7. If you do so, it should work fine. You may have some other problem ?

I thought pilot2atc used sim connect and there was no need for FSUIPC running...?

P2ATC definitely requires FSUIPC7, the free version is fine.  Clumsy has a good video detailing the setup.  I've had few problems with it, not even frame drops.

The FPS drops were caused by the issues in SimConnect in the early release version, no longer applicable, Pilot2ATC working fine with MFS2020.

I am using all required software and all are installed as per instructions ,but still not descending.

I recall people had this issue in XP11 when I used it a few years ago. I can not remember the fix unfortunately.

Do you have the proper descent rate set in the top left corner before you file your flight plan?  I believe that box changes the TOD distance from final destination.  If I recall correctly, you can't directly change the TOD point except by changing descent rate.

I've forgotten to set that before and have been fine by requesting descent from ATC.

Also if you have a star assigned many times the only altitude decent request for be "decend via the assigned star which will have the altitude restrictions already assigned
