August 24, 20205 yr So I noticed what I think is a bug that is causing the taxi and landing lights to not illuminate the ground within the interior cockpit view. I've only tried a few prop planes so far so not certain about all the other planes. If you go to external view and turn them on & off you can see them illuminate the ground quite well, but you'll notice from inside the cockpit they do not work. I see people not realizing this and thinking that the lights need to have more distance or strength but thats not the issue at all...try this... You can clearly see the bug while using the drone cam. Turn your taxi & landing lights on and then go into drone. Now move around the plane and you'll notice that at certain angles when you are aft of the lights they will not shine. You either have to change the angle or move forward (in front) of the lights before they illuminate the ground. Apparently the cockpit camera and drone camera have something in common because this will not happen with the regular external views (non drone). At least this is what's happening for me. Please check it out and report back if you can. I believe this is happening in the baron and the kingair, probably more as well...not sure really. August 24, 20205 yr I logged this as a bug on their zen desk site. Landing and taxi lights need some work. They are close to useless at night on a dark strip in some GA aircraft. They only illuminate the area under the nose. That small amount of splash light you are seeing under nose on each side is just a canned effect from a light that doesnt actually exist. This means that they KNOW the landing and taxi lights are not illuminating and have stuck that "fake" small light effect there so it would be better than nothing at all. There are just so many broken and missing things in the sim that I can no longer even call it a sim. In the 30 or so years I've been buying and supporting the MSFS series I've NEVER seen a version released that had this many glaring issues and omissions. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

Ive purchased FSX and every other version of MS's flight sim on day 1 of their release, and NONE have had, even close to, as many issues as this one does. I can't even begin to discuss flight model and Turbo prop engine issues yet because I'm still struggling to analyze and pick apart all the other ridiculous problems first. By my calendar, this is 2020, we have long gone by the day that taxi and landing lights should work right out of the box. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
