Using the drone

Featured Replies

How do use the drone so I can see the cities etc?  I found the drone menu under camera but I can’t seem to get off the ground and view the scenery.  Thanks.

You need to bind controls to the drone in the controls menu. Then you can fly it around. By default if you plug in an xbox controller, it will map those automatically, but you can also assign keyboard or joystick buttons/axes to control it. You can control the speed of the drone in the camera window, so if you want to cover large distances, increase the speed, if you want to be up close and personal with a plane or object, lower the speed.

Drone controls on the keyboard are already mapped to standard FPS-style W-A-S-D for movement, R & F for moving up and down, and the arrow keys on your num-pad for rotation.

I have to say that with an x box controller the drone camera is genius.

Yeah, it is absolutely great! Sound of the wind and Natura and all.. and so nice to control it.
