Graphics look washed out

I am playing around with specs today for the first time and I have noticed on a few flights, a lot of the graphics look a little washed out and bright.  They don't look as crisp as I have seen displayed, particularly the photoreal stuff.  What can i look into to see what could be causing this?

i felt the same as you and turned the bloom effect off in the sim settings.  it made a huge difference, imo.

correct.

Also, use live weather but adjust the daytime slider to suit your lighting preferences, and don't fly in places that have too much overcast if you can help it (you want nice thick but broken clouds), as that will usually look better.
