Austin's Tutorials - worth watching, carefully...

Featured Replies

Here's what the creator of X-Plane's flight dynamics model has to show about the exact tools and concepts he based his work on.

Offers a unique insight, IMO, into the detailled and sophisticated flight and systems modeling available for X-Plane aircraft developers, and it is also a source

of generic aerodynamics knowledge...

( I believe most of you already knew about this youtube "series", but I couldn't resist posting it here 🙂 )

Austin's mind is likely amazing!  Might I suggest a bit ADHD.  And I so struggle watching his videos because they appear like his mind, all over the place.  I think he should hire someone to produce clear, flowing and simple videos to explain his "stuff", I get totally lost after a while.

Well, I honestly find it very well produced, even though the subjects are a bit complex when some concepts of aerodynamics or aircraft engines start being mentioned, but that's not his fault ...

I wish we had something similar explaining the MODERN flight model and how to fine tune aircraft in MFS using the included Tools...

Yeah, Austin is a bit on the active side. Might be that he's simply nervous because of the camera as well.

Jennifer does most of the tutorial videos on basic X-Plane elements and does it really well, but I figure anything aerodynamics and flight dynamics related is best heard from the mastermind that implemented them.
