It's largely because they only watch content in 30fps. They'll watch a 60fps video in 30fps then moan that it doesn't look any different.

It's like watching a 1080p video on a 640x360 screen then complaining that fuLL hD DoEsN't EveN MakE a DiFfeReNcE!?

i will make a video for you (when at home in a few hours), half screen, left side recored in 30fps, right side will be recorded at 60fps.

One reason might be that such frame-rates and more, are going to be base requirements for successful VR implementation.

can't wait to buy my 3090 - and run it at 800*600 with my frame limited to 30FPS, so it frees up my CPU to make a cuppa or something
