My Scenery Looks like it is drawn in

Featured Replies

Flying around Chicago, and other big cities, my scenery looks nothing like Bing or google earth.  The buildings look like they're drawn, the streets are green.  I've seen other videos on youtube and my scenery doesn't look anything like that.  My graphics on global rendering are set on high end.  I don't have the fastest pc, but its no dog either. I7 4700K @4.3  GTX 1070ti.

Do I have to change something else in settings?

Maybe you are not using streaming scenery?

Check options - data

Have you somehow selected to fly offline?

You say your PC is no dog, but how is your internet connection speed? If for whatever reason your internet has slowed up then would that not have a detrimental effect also?

I don't have the new sim, but just asking based upon what else I've seen

Yep, that sounds like the placeholder offline scenery the sim uses when online streaming is disabled.

I didnt have the streaming scenery checked.  It would be nice if MS had some sort of manual instead of trying to figure things on the fly, or youtube or the forums.
