Tree height fix

Featured Replies

Even after reading this thread I could not get the latest version to point to the right directory, and it kept asking me to close the program and try again.

I finally found which directory it wanted after an hour of trying.

Search for a folder on your computer named vegetation which contains the 10-asobo_species.xml file.

Set file explorer to show the complete path to that folder.

Look for the folder in that path which contains subfolders Official and Community.

That is the folder you want to put into the window of Tree Size Editor : File : Settings : Currently used path:

In my case (I have Steam editiion MSFS) it was a folder named Packages.

And the path put in the window was...

C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages

And then the editor worked.

I have no idea why the designer made this part so difficult.

Thanks, I downloaded and used those in the community folder as you suggested. Although I did reduce tree size still further after they were in the community folder. There is still no easy way to make city street trees look correct except to trim each and every tree, which of course what is done in real life.
