Featured Replies

Yes with landing gear down ! Perfect landing speed but don’t know any reason 50 feet before touchdown it’s bumps into runway!

I've scoured the internet for fixes but also haven't found anything. People say the 787 with the Heavy Division mod is great to fly but that certainly hasn't been my experience. I love the 787 and I want to fly it in the sim but it's bad. Once in ground effect, depending at which pitch angle you're at it'll either float and roll to one side or slam into the ground with full back input.

If you've flown smaller jets in the sim before the 787 (A320' B737 etc) you'll be used to distance between the 30ft call-out and when the wheels touch the ground. What I found was this margin is far different in the 787 as it's a massive plane and I was waiting for the same timing between the call-out and the wheels touching the runway, which is totally different between the jets. The 787 always felt like it slammed into the ground too, same with the 747.

With practice you can flare at the right time and not have the "slamming" effect. This is just based on my experience though.

My recommendation............don't even bother with the 787 until the CFG files are made available for tweaking and some good souls can have at it with the flight model and such.  In its current state it's awful to handle on the ground and in the air.  The A/P is a disaster at the moment.

Every flight i do with the 787 ( and i did a lot since now ) my landings are more or less very good, so i think it is some practise that does the Trick .

No mather if i fly the Asobo one or the Asobo one with the the 78XH Mod it just works for me - by the way..

cheers 😉
