and whats more bizarre  is the "communinty" think thats fine

Citation needed. No one that I've seen thinks the current AP or complex plane state is acceptable. Some of us are giving MS/Asobo the benefit of the doubt and assuming that these problems will get fixed, and meanwhile we're having fun with VFR flights in simpler planes. Others seem to be assuming that the sim will never be fixed and we're stuck with a lemon. Which group is correct has yet to be determined, though early indications are that the doom-and-gloomers are being overly pessimistic.

yes they do.  a guy said the other day he was happy with this half baked junk because  he "might get run over by a truck tomorrow"

Ill agree the sim looks great, and with the setup guide from rdpresets you can get it to run well.

but to release a flightsim without an autopilot not working is just terrible.

Have to agree, I haven't had any real problems for example with the A320 after learning a few of it's quirks from the a320 Sim Pilot channel on YouTube.  Overall it flies really well and the main problems I've had are related to the sim's handling of inserting approaches/etc. into a plan especially while in flight.

thats because youve got no other choice.  thats like me going to a 5 star resturant and only being offered one starter, one main and one dessert after waiting 6 hours to get in

the quirks is that is not finished deafult or not.

ive swear  if we had a flying poo in fs2020, xp11 or p3d and it was shilled enough by youtubers or twitchers people would buy it and say its fantastic

That's actually an apt analogy because generally if you go to a brand new non-chain restaurant the first day it's open, there are going to be problems. Your food will be slow to come out. It might not be made quite right. Service might well be chaotic. Needed supplies didn't show up so some menu items aren't available, etc. Yes, even the 5-star places.

I'm not saying I like the current gaming situation, but it's a well known fact that day-1 games almost always have big bugs in them and are increasingly incomplete at launch. Heck, anyone remember the No Man's Sky launch? If you thought MSFS's shortfalls are disappointing, you should've seen the reaction to that thing. From being promised a deep, generated-on-the-fly universe full of things to do and amazing new gameplay mechanics to launch day when players got nothing but a hot mess that had (generously) 10% of the promised features, and almost nothing to do.

To their credit, that studio knuckled down, got to work, and vastly improved the game to the point that even some of the angriest day-1 players have a very positive view of the game and the studio today. I remain optimistic that Asobo will be doing the same thing here.

Can you seriously sit there and tell me that you expected a 100% finished sim when the release date was suddenly and inexplicably accelerated, and the beta test program was set to last about 5 minutes? I don't like the situation either, but I went into it with my eyes open. My objective in plunking down the preorder money (I almost never preorder anything) was to help show that there is a market for flight simulation, because I'd rather spend 6 months to a year with a less-than-optimal next-gen sim that improves over time than spend another 15 years on the almost-identical-to-FSX sim that is P3d.

I’m late, but 160 sounds too fast for a nearly empty airliner... maybe try approaching more slowly and flare less aggressively?

Again a lot has to be done for both default Boeing planes.

Indeed they do. If you could see in the aircraft.cfg (which doesn't exist for Deluxe and Premium Deluxe aircraft at least in human readable form) there would be a line like this one for the Kingair 350. Asobo has indicated that this aircraft is still "rough"...

wip_indicator = 0 ; know if the variation is good to go or still WIP : -1=Disabled, 0=Rough, 1=1st Pass, 2=Finished

Kicked in the reverse thrust and finished rollout and no bouncing or floating back in the air.  Seems I might be able to fly this thing after all with some careful attention to working around the bugs.

Did you arm the spoilers? Or at least activate them manually?

For similar problems, i had to stop flying this plane. There's a big problem with the rudder. Impossible to steer correctly on the plane on the taxiways, the throttle doesn't respond, it disconnects for no reason, the autopilot bug, very difficult to maneuver once in flight, not even possible to make an ILS approach, the plane doesn't light up once the LOC/APP is intercepted, the plane lines up alongside the runway, when i deploy the flaps, the plane spikes in the air, i crash, it's horrible. Currently there's only A320 which is stable at present. We must wait for updates for this device to be piloted. But it will not be in a few weeks but counting months.

Throttles at idle and flaps 25 gear out on glideslope could barely get it down to below 160.  It just did not want to slow.  The other problem is you don't even actually really have to flare, I was starting to do it just because habit, but the nose actually just starts climbing back up on it's own similar to how it does it on takeoff around 120kts with the FMC showing VR of like 168.  So that was leading to the problem of having to force the nose down.  I.e. the first couple attempts I literally had my X52 stick buried into the front stop trying to get the nose down.  At that point it was definitely much lower in speed. The first landing I quickly checked the trim display to see if the autopilot was still partly engaged and spooling up the trim or something.  I've never ever had a default aircraft behave like this in anything from FS98-FSX and I've owned and flown them all quite a lot.  Never had a payware aircraft do it either.

Yes they were armed.

Also I think I found a new way to get the thing down.  Make the copilot do it, lol.  Set off on that same circuit and made him fly it because I wanted to see what he'd do with it.  Other than scaring the heck out the farmers in the fields near the airport by flying about 500 feel AGL for the last 5 miles of the approach he actually landed  the thing.  Too bad he lands with with all the gear at the same time no flare, but he got it down with no bouncing  🤷‍♂️

Msfs 2020 Why heavy division b787  slam into the ground on landing? Never lands smoothly.

Would definitely appreciate the autloand screen capture.  I don't know what it is but apparently I'm doing something massively wrong still.  I tried to let it autoland just now and it came down fairly hard then bounced back up in the air again and I had to shove the nose down hard (stick all the way forward) while it continued bouncing down the runway.  Something is seriously wrong.

I've never had this issue with payware aircraft like the PMDG 737 etc.  I thought I knew what I was doing with the airliners but either I am doing something really really wrong or this default aircraft is SERIOUSLY messed up.  I was coming in at flaps 25 about 150/155 knots (not sure which things got hairy and I was trying to get the speed down lower to the "25" mark on the tape which was below VREF).  Overall weight on takeoff for the 60nm circuit at 4000ft was about 405K lbs.

I also noticed the TOGA toggle doesn't seem to work, at least not on takeoff.  The keyboard binding I mean...... shift-ctrl-g.  I have to press the hotspot on the throttle to use it and if I barely rest my hand on my throttle it disconnects the TOGA in the sim.

I have never flown a default aircraft that I liked in any sim.

You have to lower the landing gear, mate.
