December 3, 20205 yr I found that after an MSFS 2020 update late November, I had to go to General> Graphics> Display Mode> and change the setting back to Full Screen from Windowed. After the update, it automatically reverted to the windowed setting which constantly shows the Windows 10 border at the top and bottom of the screen.
December 3, 20205 yr Borderless windowed mode is still running in a window with all the overheads, however the advantage is it is still handled by Windows natively , whereas trying to implement a true full screen mode often opens a can of worms leading you down a black hole of driver issues and CTDs with minimal performance improvements.
