September 12, 20205 yr Is there a brightness control someplace? I haven't found it and both screen are dim, not dark, but needed some brightness. Thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
September 12, 20205 yr On the panel right next to the taxi/nav/landing lights there are three knobs. One of them is for brightness. James
September 12, 20205 yr Author I found that one, but, it is INOP Thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
September 12, 20205 yr It doesn't dim the glass panels completely like it does the steam gauges, but it does dim them. James

Hey Ray, Get the G1000 mod....it works on all airframes not just the C172 like I originally thought. To use...hit the Menu button, then use the FMS rotary to adjust.....works fantastic!!! Oh...and if you're looking for a short, extremely scenic flight....take the route you see on my PFD. It is a stunning view! Take her up to 9,000 and marvel at the beauty. 🙂 Oh yeah...the mod also lets you turn off Synth vision. I personally like it off, but have it on for this trip since I'm flying in the mountains. 🙂 Edited September 12, 20205 yr by Steve Dra added Synth vision screen Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
September 12, 20205 yr Author Sounds good, but, I can't find the link for the G1000 mod. The Avsim search engine leaves much to be desired. Thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

And I know you're also as affecect by virtual paint fumes as I am...so us painters need to take care of one another. 😉 Here is a link to the post here on avsim: Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
September 12, 20205 yr Author Wow. This mod works perfectly for me in the SR22. Thanks to everyone involved in the fix. Thanks Steve, I really appreciate you responding and then following up with the link. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Regards, Ray Like I said...if you weren't a painter....I'd just sluff it off. 😉 (JK of course, but we're brothers of the brush) 🙂 Edit: Or maybe I'm confusing you with another old timer? hehe...I though you painted? If not...just as well...its the paint fumes affecting my cognitive skills. 🤣 Edited September 12, 20205 yr by Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

Glad the mod works for ya...I'm finding it invaluable when I do dawn/dusk/night flying. And turning off synth vision really freshens up the panel IMO. Like the crisp look of "Blue over Brown". 🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
September 13, 20205 yr Raymar, I think I misunderstood you when posting the video above and I appoligise. I thought you meant you couldn't adjust the brightness but I see you meant you couldn't make it brighter. I do see where the knob will only go slightly past center while the other knobs go to 100%. I'm glad Steve chimed in with the solution. James
