Does the PMDG MD-11 add-on work in P3D?

Featured Replies

I bought this add-on many years ago for FSX and was thinking about installing it. Does anyone know if it works with P3D? Thanks.

No. Plus, it’s not licensed to be used with that product. It’s been stated hundreds of time there’s no plans to make it compatible with P3D, or any other platform.

It works in P3Dv1-v3 with some tweaks. You can use the migration tool at https://www.flightsim.ee/

Thanks.

That is nice that it was stated hundreds of times, but I have never visited this forum so I would not have known that.

Sorry about the rude welcome.

If you wanted upvotes, suggest next time you post about how amazing MSFS is/how bad P3D is, rather than asking a genuine question about the sim!

PMDG will sadly never support 64-bit P3D with the MD-11, but there is a new P3D v5 compatible MD-11 coming out from another dev if you're a fan of the type.

Thanks! I am going to sell it since I do not use FSX. This was an amazing add-on in the day. Hopefully someone will appreciate it!

Sir, it's customary to use the search function prior to asking questions; you can also use Google.  Using any of those apertures would have yelled the answers you seek.  It's just been discussed ad nauseam in this forum, and many other forums.  Also, in effect, you're asking posters to subvert PMDG's EULA, which explicitly prohibits using the MD-11 in other simulators.

To date, only one MD-11 functions in P3D 4+, which is the SkySim MD-11 V2; however, TFDi is also working on an MD-11 that promises to be on par with the PMDG offering.  I hope that helps...

Answer the question or don't post if you don't feel like engaging with the topic. No need to be toxic to new users. We need more discussion here, not less.

Please don't try to do that here...the MD-11 is licensed, not sold, and that license is non-transferable.
