You might want to do some research on the 3090 performance (or lack thereof). Most have come to the conclusion (which has been subsequently confirmed by Nvidia) that the performance delta between the 3080 and 3090 in 4k is only 10-15%. See https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-confirms-rtx-3090-performance-10-to-15-faster-than-rtx-3080-in-4k-gaming-limited-supply for example. Apparently, it is targeted for the 8k (yes 8k) business case.

I thought I had read  24th was release day.   I know EVGA released on their site I didn’t have enough patience to finish the cart totally my fault I missed out. I like the way they gave Loyal buyers like me a chance by offering only to elite members whom most of which like me have spent 15 years buying their products.  I want it because of the memory the cards offer running 4K stutter free would be awesome.  So amazed with this MSFS sim

Guess I was wondering after spending day watching NowInStock site that nobody was selling units today.  Was deconstructing my wife’s closet if she asks  must have new one before Monday

It was - you had about a 5 minute window at most to get it. If you're not in a major rush to upgrade you're better off waiting anyway.

There were people camped out in line at the Denver Microcenter for three days...they had 12 to sell, all which were gone to the campers in the first 30 seconds after opening on Thursday.
