Am I missing something?

If so, it wouldn't be the first time.

Simply:  How do you input a flight plan into the new MSFS?  I've been messing with it for more than a month now and I cannot find a way to do it.  And don't tell me the sim will generate its own flight plans.  They're awful.  (I'm a CFII.  I know what a poor flight plan looks like.)

You can create a custom flight plan in the world map.

As an alternative to the buit-in World Map method, there a plenty of options...

Might I recommend Little Nav Map (freeware) that will allow you to build your flightplan, save it, and then load in MSFS?

Yes it does. It has an export function to fs2020. FSX and P3D flight plans also work. PFPX can also be used.
