'V' Key Map toggle now CTD

Featured Replies

Anyone else getting this?

Post update, in the 172,  if I hit the V key to toggle up the Map, instant CTD

No changes to settings.

I'm having to open the map immediately on entering the cockpit to avoid a CTD (a known issue) post patch which I never had to before. I haven't tried the V key, but I expect it will have the same result you're having. There's something going on with the map with this patch.

Opening the map with my mouse via the tools menu is quite unproblematic though.

This was posted by MS/Asobo as a known bug in this update.

I tested it in the C152 about 5 minutes into a flight.  Next thing, I was looking at the windows desktop - not sure why I tested it really when they mention it will happen. 🙄

Apparently, if you open it right at the start of the flight, it won't crash to desktop, but I believe you have to leave it open, or else!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Open MSFS. Wen to cockpit. hit V key to bring up map...CTD..Reloaded tried again...CTD.. Glitch they hopefully will fix soon......Dennis
