QW 787 Update worth now?

Featured Replies

Is the addon worth now with latest update? im planning to buy it. Ive just heard in the past they had issue with the autopilot especially on lnav & vnav. Hows the addon now?

I´ll find the plane behaving very well. It isn´t capable of RNP (at least if I remeber correctly. I haven´t flew it for months).

But it looks decent, nice AP/FMC handling. Most things work well and much fun to fly such a Long Hauler.

Currently I am on FSLABS Trip.......Mid/Short Range. But QW787 is still in my hangar.

There are still some issues with LNAV and VNAV and the auto throttle, but 95% of the time it's fine. If you intervene on the speeds on approach and don't attempt very tight turns using LNAV this avoids most issues in my experience. The charts on the EFB are very difficult to read so I use separate Navigraph charts app or STKP. The weather radar issue seems to have been fixed and fps is good for me. Autoland and HGS HUD work very well. I would recommend it personally. There's a no quibble refund policy if you don't like it.

What I don't like about the plane is the FPS specifically on the altitude/speed ticker in the VC.  It's choppy.  Rest of plane is fine performance wise.  Nice external model.  I'd probably fly it more if they could clean up the choppy scrolling I mention.

Yes indeed. I can confirm this one too. The "speedtape" is like jumping insteafd of smooth gliding "up/down". Like the refreshrate of the PFD/HUD is too low.

But it is usable and not THAT bad. It good need some optimization at least.

yep agree.  The strange thing is they have known about this for a long time and have said in their forums basically they don't know how to fix it.

Do you mean it could not maintain rnp and the anp exceeds or nearly touch to rnp value?
