See the status of Bing and pHOTOMETRY. BOTH ARE OFF.

so Lesson Learned. when you have internet hiccups, it disables Bing and Photometry and when you get the connection restored within a few seconds, it does not rest those settings, You have to do it yourself!

and then when I got close to DFW, I get a CTD. I couldn't even fly a short route from Houston to Dallas. WTH!

It seems you lost the connection to the Bing data. Check if it's set to OFF by accident in your SETTINGS-DATA. It happened to me before.

Just as info:

Bing maps have color problems in different area's (Google maps have then too but less). This is a satelite view of the area just west of the Fort Worth Alliance airport.

You'll find in sim however the tiling from imagery is less pronounced because of the way the AI processes it. As a result, I have noticed some tiling but I typically need to look a little harder. I think as they improve the AI and just get newer imagery in general tiling will become even less pronounced.
