Shader App for P3Dv5 - Need Testers

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I am finishing a simple P3D v5 Shader App. I will need some testers and volunteers.

So, if you are interested in testing appreciate if you PM me with your email address, Skype (or similar) and your PC specs.

Thanks!

EA overrules shader mods as it uses its own resources.

13900 8 cores @ 5.5-5.8 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.3 GHz (hyperthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D4 - GSkill Ripjaws 2x 16 Gb 4266 mhz @ 3200 mhz / cas 13 -  Inno3D RTX4090 X3 iCHILL 24 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Thermaltake Level 10 GT case - EKWB Extreme 240 liquid cooling set push/pull - 2x 55’ Sony 4K tv's as front view and right view.

13600  6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb  - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x  Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - 1x 65” Sony 4K tv as left view.

I assume that also. But he is speaking about a app......so it can also overrule EA. Like Reshade or REX EF. Just out of curiosity....

It will work on existing P3D Shader variables as well as some changes - when possible to some EA parameters

Federico...one thing that is really needed that I miss from PTA in 4.5 is a shader tweak for the ground night lighting textures. If you use Orbx, you cannot see anything up at altitude since they dimmed the textures so much. PTA had a way to brighten them. Just a suggestion and glad to hear there is a new tool in the works!

At this moment I am using EnvShade which is capable of doing some shader mods but it can only tweak the 2 existing EnvShade profiles a little.

With V4 I used PTA and I also was a beta tester for that. I also have my own Thread at the PTA forum with custom presets. Being able to make a Shader preset from scratch would be very welcome.

Here some tweaks that I find important :

- ambient / diffuse lighting AG

- ambient / diffuse terrain lighting

- terrain saturation

- clouds light scattering

- clouds saturation

- Raleigh scattering + haze

- Autogen lighting

I would add VC lighting - they are much darker than in V4 😒

@GSalden I have difficulties to tune EnvShade and so far I disactived it. Any clue on parameters to improve even a little. So far, I don't use EA, waiting for V5.1 🙂

Thanks - Gérard (another one - with an accent...)

Cheers, Rob.

Of course this would be something for the long term P3D 5.x development program. I have the backbones of the program working from a while I will release what I have and see how goes.

One of the most importent tweak which comes with PTA and Tomato as well was the Anti-Popcorn-Clouds tweak. Would like to see it again with your app -:)
