Key Assignments

Featured Replies

When assigning a key from the keyboard or a button on a controller to activate things like Landing Gear, or, Flaps, I notice there are two vertical columns available to use. So far I have placed all my key/button assignments in the first column. What is the second column used for?

Thanks

Another perfect example why we need a MANUAL for this software.

I'm surprised that none of the people here that claim about this software is so marvelous or someone with real knowledge will not have the answer, meanwhile when somebody points out a deficiency about this game usually have at least 10 guys jumping on your back telling you how wrong you are.

Hopefully we have an answer.

Typically a second column is for an additional assignment.  For example, you might want both a joystick button and a keypress to do the same thing.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

You can have two keys assigned to the same task should you desire it.

Put "a" in the 1st column.  Put "b" in the second column.  Hit "a" or "b" and, voila, task accomplished.

Thanks -- I was wondering about this as well,

Brian
