On the subject of BMW drivers being asshats. I actually found out why that is so the other day. I was driving a BMW M5 and even though I do actually have a car with a V6 engine which is quite fast, it wasn't as fast as that beemer. So here's what happened...

I was coming onto the on ramp for the motorway, and of course as you do, you start accelerating so you can merge into the traffic, hopefully doing about 70 mph by the time you get to the bottom of the ramp. So I booted this M5 Beemer and it set off like a rocket, it was doing 85 mph by the time it was halfway down the on-ramp and still accelerating like an F-15, so in order to merge with the traffic, I had to come onto the motorway across all three lanes with the right hand indicator flashing (yeah I know you aren't supposed to use them in BMWs) so I could merge with all the nutter reps in Beemers, Mercs and Audis (and white vans with no engine governers) who all do 87 mph in the right hand lane as we know. 

So, it's not that BMW drivers are actually tw**s, it's those new BMW M Sports are so bloody fast that you can't help but drive one like a complete nobhead in them, because the accelerator is like a goddam on/off switch. 🤣

Got another Beemer on my drive at the moment, a nice new M2, and that's bloody fast as well.

 

Meh, I'm more considerate when I'm in the Porsche's because people already expect you to be an A-hole so when you are super nice (before you engage sport plus open the exhaust valves and scare them out of their seat as you blow by) it really throws them off..  😁 🤣

I think only 911 owners are Aholes.. Cayman owners are more down to earth .

In the race world we call those the Cup Car A-Holes LOL!!!   With that being said I do aspire to be a Cup Car racing A-Hole one day, right now I am a "more down to earth" racer  LMBO!

Nah, it's a fill-in job I'm doing at the moment driving lease cars about, until my new job starts in about a week or so. so there's a flashy Merc and a flashy Beemer at might house this weekend, but not for entertainment p[urposes, just stored until they will be driven somewhere.

Of course I wouldn't ordinarily be driving those things like a loon, it's all strictly speed limit and following all the rules properly whilst on trade plates, but that beemer's speed caught me off guard and it did kind of explain why some people drive them like tools.
