Hello from Belgium

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m Dusty, and i’m new here! I live in Belgium and iv'e been a flight sim and aviation enthusiast for as long as i can remember! I can’t recall which was my first version exactly, but i vividly remember nosediving in to the black and white wireframe that was supposedly runway 36 at Meighs, and since then i was hooked. It was at a friends house and i must have been no more than 10 years old at the time. Time has passed, i’m in my mid 30's now and i’m still as passionate about all of it and still dream of earning my pilot's license, hoping that time and tide will permit it one day. I play MSFS mostly, i love the fact that i can now really enjoy flying VFR, but i dabble in other sims from time to time as well. I’m one of those people that normally lurks on all the forums and absorbs all the info but never really contributes anything so this is also my effort to change that, at least a little bit 😁

I'm also a bit of a tinkerer, and recently iv'e been thinking about building a modest GA cockpit setup. I love bush planes and sea planes and because of that i have been experimenting with several things, hardware wise, but more about that in another thread

That'll be all from me for now! Thanks for having me and see you guys around!

Welcome, if you like seaplanes, definitely check out PILOT's B314.  It's pricey, but its extremely immersive ... hoping that Parallel42 come out with a "immersion package" for it to add some addition FX.

A2A also provide some excellent GA aircraft.

Lots of good folks here to help with hardware (myself included).  I'm in the process of developing some USB flight modules (high quality price conservative) and a "quiet external chiller" (dual or single) unit for any PC (AMD/Intel).  Hope to announce something early next year.

Cheers, Rob.

That 314 is gorgeous! She's a little big for my liking though as iv'e been moving away from larger aircraft as i get older it seems, being more in to single-engine stuff lately. Very beautiful aircraft none the less!

As for A2A, i know them well. I'm quite fond of their warbirds, especially the acusim P-40 and Spit! I really hope they'll be able to bring those to the new MSFS.

Hardware wise, you had me at "chiller"  always interested in stuff like that. I still run two AM3+ systems which have a tendency to run quite hot, especially in the summer months.

And like i mentioned i'm also working on a modest home cockpit design, not really modeled after any aircraft in particular but more of a custom fit to suit my needs. My last diy-project

was getting an old Sidewinder FFB Pro stick to work with win10 and MSFS, and i'm in the process of writing a rather lengthy post with pictures and sources and stuff on that particular process  Hoping to have that up maybe somewhere this weekend if time permits!
