fps drops: nightmare at Zurich

Featured Replies

The flight from Rome to Zurich with the modded TBM went very good until the approach, where a dramatic fps drop and stuttering at 1fps happened. Impossible to land. So I decided to deactivate the photogrammetry and the 1 fps stuttering went gone, but a severe general fps drop at 25/22 remained. In normal conditions when I start a new flight from Zurich, I have about 35/40 fps. Usually every flight in FSXX is terminating with heavy fps loss, especially in large airports, but yesterday night the sim was literally unplayable.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Heavily discussed already. See eg here:

That's a CTD topic, no CTD's from my side, but fps drops.

Agreed. Reacted to fast. But the frame rate drop was also discussed here.

Now the sim is not starting anymore, tried to reset and a reinstall, but no luck. It is crashing to desktop jus after clicking on the app.

The sim now is starting correctly, the problem is Windows Defender, I had to disable it.

It's interesting how it's Microsoft's own software that is messing up the sim.

It's the same with the "Your organization won't let you move this file here" problem. Microsoft is the "organization" that won't let you move it.
