Yellow circle around airports

Featured Replies

Is it possible to get rid of these yellow circles around all airports in Mapview? If so, how? I tried almost everything/option to see if I could remove them, but to no avail, apparently I might be overlooking the obvious 🙂

Thanks,
Hans

Hi Hans,

these are your add-on airports. Disable the circle in options on page map display. Highlight add-on airports.

Alex

Hi Alex,

I wish it were the add-on airports only, but no, every airport (in  MSFS) has been decorated with a yellow circle 🙂 Now, if I disable all four types of airports in the options, yes, then all yellow circles disappeared. In short, disabling only the "add-ons" option doesn't work for me.(Version 2.6.2 beta (revision e6fbf826))

Alex,

<Shameful blush> My bad, I thought I disabled these options, but it was just the other way around. Sorry for causing confusion, all is working as it should. (Apart from me 🙂 )

There was a bug in 2.6.2.beta where the navigraph update was not detected and all airports were added as add-ons.

Alex

Thanks, Alex, that gives me hope that it wasn't my fault entirely 🙂 (I was using that beta indeed)

2.6.3.beta just went online. This should fix the all yellow circle airports. The circles should only appear for real add-on airports.

Alex

Thanks very much, Alex. Well done.

Hi Alex,

It's me moaning again 🙂 When I hit "Check for updates",  the response is "No updates available". No problem, I will go to your website and get it from there. Thanks

Same here but, was able to download 2.6.3 beta from web site. Now, still have yellow surrounding all airports? MSFS Steam version.

Hi Alex,

I installed 2.6.4 beta and now all my airports have a yellow circle, not just the addon airports.

Edit: Please ignore, after loading the scenery library the problem was fixed. But disabling "Force map to show add-on airports" doesn't hide all of the yellow circle add-on airports. Some stay visible. Why is that?

@Alvega Glad it's fixed but anyway for others:
If somebody runs into this problem: Update the Navigraph beta if its used. If all fails exclude the Navigraph update folder from add-on detection. Options on page "Scenery Library Database". Add the folder to the bottom list.

This is as intended. Add-ons are always highlighted but you can remove the yellow circle in options on page "Map Display", "highlight add-on airports".
The force button does what it says: It shows add-ons on the map disregarding the zoom factor and other airport display settings. Means that you will also see small dirt strips on continental zoom level.

Add-ons are always shown with underline and italic text no matter what is selected in options.

What I don't understand is why with the same zoom when I disable the force button some of my add-on airports disappear but others next to them don't. Those that don't only disappear when I zoom out more. Isn't there a way to make them all disappear with the same zoom?

Airports disappear when zooming out. Criteria for this is mostly runway length.

Add-on airports stay on the map if the force-add on is pressed. Even the small ones. That's why some of them disappear (small add-ons) and some not (large add-ons) when pressing the button to off.
