Just asking...

When is start up the sim, simply select an aircraft and departure airport and hit "FLY" i sometimes start with running engine directly on the runway all good to go and sometimes i end up on the holding point with the AI calling the tower reporting ready for departure. Does anyone know why this happens? Why is it sometime this way and the other time it is that way?

AI/online traffic is off at the moment.

Any ideas?

It happens to me sometimes too, but I don't know why.

Possibly related to whether or not the airport has a tower?

This is my bet.  At controlled airports, you are placed at the runway and you need to get takeoff clearance.  At uncontrolled airports, you are put on the runway and you are expected to radio your takeoff and departure information.

Be sure to make sure AI control over ATC is disabled if you are getting uninitiated communications.

Can't confirm this. Have had both versions on controlled Airports.
