Flying online with your mates

Featured Replies

I want to be able to fly alongside my kids online. Is there a trick to making this work? For me it seems a hit and miss, with 90% miss. I have tried several times times to fly online with them. We all have the same Premium Deluxe version on Steam. We can all see each other as being online and on the map view we can see each other as a green plane icons and can click and say join. Once in the sim, all parties cannot see each other or one can see the other but the other can't see him. On the very rare occasion we can all see each other it works well enough. It is however an incredibly painful exercise to be exiting and rejoining ad- nauseum to try and have everyone visible to each other at the same time.

So what is the trick here, or is this feature simply not working well yet?

I do not know a lot about it. You need to be on the same server and there is a limit of 50 people per group I believe . Other than that I am not sure.

I too am baffled by multiplayer, everything is set up correctly at my end, I have a very stable internet connection but I only ever see the odd player flying into and airport whether its heathrow or a smaller GA airfield. I live in the UK and fly everywere in real time with real weather period and I am currently in the state of California at the moment and I'm on the West Coast Server but still hardly any online traffic flying?? On my route flying from the UK to California, over iceland, greenland etc in the TBM I hardly saw any traffic at all. Dont want the Ai traffi,c I want to see multiplayer traffic, more immersion you see isnt it.....any ideas why this is happening ?? Thanks

I've not really had many issues connecting with one person I normally fly with....sync'ing up the weather...well...this is my analogy on that in its current state....

If Jan (aka Jan Brady) can quip "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!"...then in the MSFS world...I'd say we can quip "Weather, Weather, Weather!"  (especially in multiplayer)...or "Multiplayer, Multiplayer, Multiplayer!" 🙂
