What nonsense is that exactly?I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I have no intention of succumbing to the mind-numbing pessimism around here.Nick

LOL, well it's not like I didn't do the same thing. Yes, George comes off a little harsher then most, but overall he's probably a good guy IMO. To be fair, he proably has a right to be stressed more then anyone else over this issue. In any case, I'm usually the optimist of the bunch, alot more so then I should have been (as it pertained to OSS), that's for sure.I've always stood by the ACES bunch, and always will, till the day I die, but you understand there's a little different approach when talking here in these forums, that's why I try to be a little more moderated. I just wanted them (thinking you were 'them' also) to understand the issue as we knew it, let's say a few hours ago...lol.Anyways...did you send the cake??

Jeff,Different Nick...so only a little bit of egg.I post there with my real name: Nick Landolfi. Check some of the A321 posts...you'll find me there.Nick

Post removed because I saw what I "wanted" to see, and not what was really there.

>Especially at>the accurate KEWR which is accurately modeled with no jetways>just like real life...Yup.With all due respect, but you should have a look at your scenery detail slider. I have lots of jetways at Newark:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161324.jpg

I've been such a fool. Is that a photo or is that FSX? I'm unable to tell the difference.

I thought you meant post COUNT, as opposed to post NUMBER. I get you know. See, I'm confused already.Nick

Hi Nick.Well since you asked:Q: What makes you think that I'm not a scenery developer? A: What scenery have you actually developed?Q: And what makes you think that I haven't had the SDK for months as wellA: You don't give any technical details, just "I have a dream" speeches. If you HAVE the SDK why not divuldge the technical details to make this magic happen?Q: What makes you think that there isn't a way around the round earth problem.A: The earth is flat.Q: What makes you think the round earth problem won't be fixedA: If the earth were round we'd fall offQ: There is no blind optimism here, only your blind pessimismA: Just call me Ray Charles:-lol

Alex:Leave him alone, he's about to tell Cloud9, FlyTampa, OSS, et al. how its done. I can't WAIT for this one!

>A: What scenery have you actually developed? Why don't you drop by the FSDeveloper.com forums, and search for my name. You can see some very early shots of my current project there. I'll PM you a couple shots of my past projects when I get home tonight.>A: You don't give any technical details, just "I have a dream">speeches. If you HAVE the SDK why not divuldge the technical>details to make this magic happen? Its so simple its scary. It makes use of a GMax or 3ds Max "platform", and building the terrain surrounding the airport into your model. >A: The earth is flat.Okay.>A: If the earth were round we'd fall offI think you already have.>A: Just call me Ray CharlesNice to meet you Ray.Nick

You know what... you're right. I'm a big fat liar. I don't have any scenery in the works. In fact, I don't even know how to make scenery.####, who am I kidding...I don't even own a copy of Flight Simulator.Seriously, you all have nothing better to do than sit around and attack the very people that are trying to move forward and enhance the FSX experience. You #### and complain that there are no new sceneries, but when someone offers a glimmer of hope regarding the potential for detailed scenery, you call him a liar. You mock him. And you try to goad him into an argument.Thats very mature. The remarks I made earlier in the thread were to counter the eternally pessimistic attitudes and the destructive criticism spewed forth by people like you and your friend "Big Al".I tell you what:YOU try making a detailed scenery. YOU try coming up with a workaround. YOU try deflecting unwarranted criticism and personal attacks while at the same time trying to provide CONSTRUCTIVE feedback to the community. So long as your only contribution to the community is your crappy defeatist attitude, I'm really not interested in your opinion.Nick

>I've been such a fool. Is that a photo or is that FSX? I'm unable to tell the difference.Do I smell sarcasm there? Seems sarcasm is on discount this week. This forum is irritating me more and more. You can never be sure what people are really saying. And you never know if it's humor or aggressive. @-@ I just wanted to help. :-halo

so then please tell developers how to use gmax in FSX! I am sure they would be more than happy to hear!seriously, you seem to have all the answers that the true professionals do not, then you insult their abilities and desire to find ways to make it work.
