Why would you belive that? You've never seen or heard an unhappy person before? You've never seen the reaction of customers who are unhappy in respect to something that is their passion or dire want?Speaking strictly for me...My name is Mike Toussaint, I never hide, and I'll tell you nothing via a forum that I couldn't tell you to your face...for better or for worse. My astonishment is why so many believe that to be angry is less legitimate than being happy? When you are happy you say good things and when you are angry you say less than flattering things. So what? That's the real world. But don't make the mistake that everyone with something bad to say is a 10 year old typing on their daddy's computer afraid to express themselves in 'real world' settings, because that wouldn't be me.

Or me. Ask people I work with or socialise with as to whether I 'let loose' on forums compared to face to face. WYSIWYG.Gary

I don't think that anger is at issue here or legitimate gripes.I caught my 18 year old this summer home from college making an extremely rude post on a similar gaming bbs to someone he didn't know. It was a very insulting hurtful post. When I asked him why he was doing this his comment was" Dad-this is the internet-everyone is rude-get with it".I gave him a lecture on how imho no one gets anywhere in life being this way. I only hope he listened....I'd like him to do well in life.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I guess the big players will get around to it. If not then its a problem somebody else will solve. The names will just change. Look around at the forum would you want to even make payware for FSX. I have even seen post from people that don't have FSX talking about payware tanking in it.:-roll I Play in FSX everyday no problem here.

>Nick:>>Well, you and I agree that there is a lot of emotion involved>in these discussions.>But in the same token, just as you have a great positive>attitude, anger, dissatisfaction, etc are all equally>legitimate emotions and are not to be dismissed. Happiness>will warp ones sense of reality just as quickly as any other>emotion. Neither is wrong.I agree. I don't fault you for your opinion. I fault you for what I feel to be an endless supply of destructive criticism. >I'm not flaming you...I am having a spirited discussion with>you, and in NO different manner than if you were sitting in>front of me. For the record, I prefer DIRECT, "no-holds-barred" arguments. I can't stand it when people hint, imply, and insinuate without having the cajones to say it outright. I'm not one to sugar coat things. But again, that not really the problem I have. Rather, I get quite agitated when people attempt to goad me into petty arguments, by making snide comments to a third-party, and then react to my arguments with incredulity.>Likewise if you review your thread, even being>positive your sense of frustration at "negativity" is quite>apparent right?Right. But the difference is, I'm being pro-active and constructive. There are a great many here who are not. >At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter and it is not>something that a beer couldn't fix. Whether you are right or>I am right, only time will tell. I want you to be right,>actually, becuase I have no problems saying "WOW was I wrong">as I zip along in FSX at 30 FPS in all its glory. However, if>the 'negative' one's are right, NO ONE will be>happy....agreed?I agree that a brew can go a long way toward making the peace.:-beerchug Nick

Mike, I see you are from down around Frankfort. As a true southern Illinois boy, I know a few Southern Illinois boys who would be extremely happy to accomodate you regarding your attitude in a real world situation. Don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone you heap your anger or arrogance on in a forum is incapable of straightening your string in a real world situation. You have yourself a good day, ya hear:-)

Hmm seems like we need to lighten up the forum some. After some of the post today. So FSX and FS9 walk into a bar. The bar tender ask what will it be. FSX says I will have FPS on the Rocks and FS9 says i'm fine just as I am.:-xxrotflmao Ok I will not quit my day job.:)

>"and not a single COA in sight.">>How about, 'only a single aircraft in sight'...Pilot unions... that's what happens when they replace the two martini lunch with the in-flight kegger. >> And when FSX flourishes, I'll snicker every time I think of the>> naysayers such as yourself,>> who tried their hardest to undermine the ACES teamWhen FSX flourishes will be the time after ACES releases a performance patch that finaly gives us the performance that should have been there in the first place and if they release that patch it will be due to the community not accepting the program in the state they released it in.FSX will never flourish due to al those possitive feeling my 12 fps is very smooth and 3rd party developers will come up with something people.Be a man and make a stand. Don't pay the schoolbuly that $70 and tell us you feel good about it.If you realy believe your own words prove it with a small demo scenery that gives us most off the great features of the top FS9 releases and has no impact in the FS-X frame rate. After that give us cold fusion or world peace....

>and if they release that patch it will be due to the community>not accepting the program in the state they released it in.When they release the patch, it will be because intelligent dedicated people took the time to give meaningful constructive feedback regarding the problems. Not because people referred to them as Mircroshaft or M$, or because any of the other insults or detructive criticism hurled their way. Most people learn when they're a toddler that whining doesn't get them what they want.>FSX will never flourish due to al those possitive feeling my>12 fps is very smooth and 3rd party developers will come up>with something people.I'm not even sure what it is you're saying here. But whatever it is, I'm obviously not going to be able to convince you that I get better than 12fps, and that I'm happy with my purchase...so moving on...>Be a man and make a stand. Don't pay the schoolbuly that $70>and tell us you feel good about it.If you actually read the thread you'll see that, in fact, I've taken quite an unpopular stand. I guess in your book that makes me a man, right? By the way, I spent $70 and I feel GREAT about it.>If you realy believe your own words prove it with a small demo>scenery that gives us most off the great features of the top>FS9 releases and has no impact in the FS-X frame rate. After>that give us cold fusion or world peace....Sorry, world peace is for tree huggin' hippies.Nick

Andy, I for one object you being the pawn in your post....during the thread you've made your point that your real purpose was to "open fsx users eyes"...I'm paraphrasing, this thread is so long I don't feel like finding the exact post.I am a scenery designer. To this day, I don't even have a released sdk yet for gmax. To read a post that suggests I'm at fault for failing to deliver rapidly is an insult. The only available modelling interface available at release was for 3dsmax. I'm not wealthy enough to own that tool.I find later that insulting me wasn't even your purpose, that you just say things insulting to developers, but to make some kind of point to the virtual pilot community.Small Minded. What justification is there for another post intended to open peoples eyes. Can you please tell me who's eyes could possibly be closed to the fact that there are users who would prefer more frames per second?Bob Bernstein
