Where are they ???

Please show me where I insulted any "true professional".I offered constructive feedback, suggested that there may be relatively simple work-around, then insinuated that a true (and complete) fix may be just over the hill. You and your cronies have been shoving your negative attitude down all of our throats since before FSX was even released. YOU have insulted the ACES developers many times over. I would argue that the ACES folks are the TRUE professionals. So now that the tables have turned, and there seems to be some good news on the way regarding the future of FSX addons, you have the audacity to attack those who want nothing more than the success of our hobby? I don't think so, chief.Contribute something meaningful, or keep your peace.Nick

>Why don't you drop by the FSDeveloper.com forums, and search for my name. You can see some very early shots of my current project there. I'll PM you a couple shots of my past projects when I get home tonight.I ask AGAIN, what SCENERY have you developed? I didn't ask where I could find your name, I asked WHAT you have developed...not where. Is it so hard to answer one simple question? Or can't you? I can post in the WebMD forum, but that doesn't make me a Doctor.

>>Especially at>>the accurate KEWR which is accurately modeled with no>jetways>>just like real life...Yup.>>With all due respect, but you should have a look at your>scenery detail slider. I have lots of jetways at Newark:>>http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161324.jpg>Now there's something you don't see everyday. KEWR and not a single COA in sight. The answer to your question is right there in your quote, genius.Go to the website mentioned. Look for my name. View the pictures of MY SCENERY. Its a highly accurate scenery of my hometown airport, Dayton International Airport in Ohio.Read a little further, and you'd have seen my explicit offer to send you some pics of at least one of my other projects...it happens to be a very detailed scenery of Wright-Patterson AFB.So there you go.My advice to you:1) learn to read.2) stop assuming.3) grow up.Nick

LOL! WOW!Okay, breathe! All that was asked of you was one simple question. Reactions like the one above are usually attached to those caught in a lie. Why get defensive? It would be no different if you were telling other pilots how they should fly their plane and when asked what your pilot experience was you get defensive. If you wanna be warm and fluffy, there's nothing wrong with that. But when you are telling known developers things but not one word to back it up, you lose all credibility. So, if you are a "big fat liar" simply stop it and move on. We still love you!

Nick? Do you need a hug?

C'mere big boy!Seriously - or more appropriately - not so seriously... I think you're upset at the wrong guy. I understand a lot of you are upset about FSX's performance. I understand that there is a lot of emotion involved in some of these "discussions"...I'm not on the dev team, and I don't have all the answers. But I am a part of the community, I do have something positive to contribute, and I don't appreciate being attacked. Who does?I'm positive that the majority of people here are what I would consider "good people". Its unfortunate that the negativity in here jades so many people.I'm not asking you all to be as optimistic as I am. Thats a personal decision for each individual to make on his own. However, I would ask that you try to not inflame, insult and goad those people who hold a slightly more positive view than you.Nick

>seriously, you seem to have all the answers that the true>professionals do not, then you insult their abilities and>desire to find ways to make it work. For ***** sake, In the history of computer programming, and certainly flight simulations, there have been numerous individuals who have found solutions or work arounds, that the "main group" of professionals (as you prefer to call them) hadn't yet come up with, or thought of.Do I need to throw out example after example here? Or would you like to rephrase the sentence?L.Adamson

The reaction you witnessed, is the one you get when one realizes that nothing he says or does will convince someone of something.I'm tired of banging my head against the wall trying to get through to you.Obviously, nothing I say will satisfy you, so why bother? I'll just concede that you're right, and move along. And when FSX flourishes, I'll snicker every time I think of the naysayers such as yourself, who tried their hardest to undermine the ACES team, and bring negativity to the very forums you're supposed to contribute to.Nick

I didn't know KEWR was in the desert... :-eek You learn something new everyday. And I thought the deserts of the US were specific to the southwest...

Nick:Well, you and I agree that there is a lot of emotion involved in these discussions. But in the same token, just as you have a great positive attitude, anger, dissatisfaction, etc are all equally legitimate emotions and are not to be dismissed. Happiness will warp ones sense of reality just as quickly as any other emotion. Neither is wrong.I'm not flaming you...I am having a spirited discussion with you, and in NO different manner than if you were sitting in front of me. Likewise if you review your thread, even being positive your sense of frustration at "negativity" is quite apparent right? At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter and it is not something that a beer couldn't fix. Whether you are right or I am right, only time will tell. I want you to be right, actually, becuase I have no problems saying "WOW was I wrong" as I zip along in FSX at 30 FPS in all its glory. However, if the 'negative' one's are right, NO ONE will be happy....agreed?
