November 26, 20205 yr The night sky with the moon out is far too bright in this simulator. I have never seen skies that bright even with full moon in the hundreds of night flight hours IRL. You should be able to make out clouds but thats about it. Sky should still be dark. Ive been searching for a way to reduce the moonlight value somehow but I have no located the file or CFG for this. Anyone have any clue? David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
November 26, 20205 yr Night skies in games are always too bright, as they have to compensate for things like users not playing in a dark room, or their monitors contrast levels not being optimal. Turning down overall brightness usually fixes this, but they might mess up your daytime lighting. I play on an OLED headset, night skies can be enjoyed close to perfection this way. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
