November 19, 200619 yr Yes it should but not with all sliders maxed out. With replacment AI you should have no problems with FSX.
November 19, 200619 yr Yeah, go and price out the components for that system. The proc is $980 on newegg. I have been looking at the E6600, which I think is almost as good for a 3rd the cost...http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...s/Goodale01.jpg
November 19, 200619 yr Yeah for the price you can't go wrong with a e6600 it clocks high on a decent air only cooler and it can beat anything u can buy in the shops for speed like that....-------------------------------------------E6600 @ 3.0ghz - Big Typhoon Cooler2Gb Corsair Dominator DDR2 PC8500 RamDominator air flow ram cooler & 5200rpm2*WD Raptor Hard DrivesEVGA 7950GTX 1gig ram-dual gpu superclockedDell 20" WidescreenX-fi soundcardEnermax Galaxy 850W PSu-------------------------------------------James.
November 19, 200619 yr Did you guys see how far he has that quad core overclocked? The E6600 does not compare as it is dual core, not quad.4.8Ghz!!!!!!!! Unreal........The reason he has that great overclock is a combination of the high FSB from the new 680i SLI motherboard and the unlocked multiplier of the Quad Core extreme. (notice the 15x multiplier setting)This would not have been possible with anything other than an 'extreme edition' as the multipliers are locked on all the standard versions.Glenn Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD

(notice the 15x multiplier setting). And the fact that he has some very trick and extremely cold cooling hardware going on there.Greg
November 20, 200619 yr >Yes it should but not with all sliders maxed out. With>replacment AI you should have no problems with FSX.>Kinda makes me wonder what machine will ever be able to max out all sliders within the next 2-3 yrs:-hmmm CyberSimmer

November 20, 200619 yr Another thing about hardware gurus such as this fellow... they don't build computers in the classic sense we know today. They build bench systems that could never fit into a computer case as most folks know them (and never will because of the almost constant modding). These tyes of system are built to do one thing: benchmark.Nevertheless, he has some very impressive hardware and an even more impressive overclock.Greg
November 20, 200619 yr No, No, No! How many times must this be addressed. You need one of these:http://www.nvidia.com/page/quadroplex_comparison_chart.htmlHappy Shopping,SD
November 20, 200619 yr >And the fact that he has some very trick and extremely cold>cooling hardware going on there.Yeah, I wonder how many trips around the pattern you get before you have to pour more liquid nitrogen into the heatsink reservoirs.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
November 20, 200619 yr lol someone should post on that forum that if they REALLY want to see how good their rig is.....TRY FSX with EVERYTHING maxed out!!! :(
November 20, 200619 yr If I'm not mistaken, I think this guy is using liquid nitrogen to cool the chips...hence the long tubes on the chips...
