File a bugreport on the malfunctioning autopilot

Featured Replies

Perhaps filing a bug report at Zendesk about this malfunctioning autopilot will have a better effect on Asobo then us discussing/complaining about their lastest A/P "update" all the time here. A bug report cannot be disregarded by them, our conversations here on Avsim can or will be.

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

From what I have heard, people already have.  And it isn't so much malfunctioning as such, it functions, they have just made the reaction rate/turn rate really slow, tested it, and thought it was alright to release.

By the way, this is a forum for discussion.  It is actually alright for people to come here and discuss things (offensive rants not included), this is what forums are for, because people can compare notes, and a lot of times, find work-arounds. It is no substiture for Zendesk.

This place is more for us than for Asobo, whether they read our forums or not.  So please don't try to shut down discussion around this, whether it comes across as valid complaining or not.  We are trying to work this through, come to some consensus, and try to figure out what the hell is going on.  It can also help in adding more detail to the Zendesk reports when they are actually made, because judging by what is going on, there appear to be some crossed wires somewhere. 🙂

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Oh i dunno.. Considering i posted my zendesk report a day after the patch and someone who specializes in development of flight dynamics for sims has been discussing this at length... I dunno ..

I just hope that more bug reports on this matter will get Zendesk and Asobo to speed things up. I read in this forum that rumour is that an update to the autopilot only can be expected in February next year. That's two and a half months from now. Pretty long wait 🙂

They said on one of the dev Q&A their biggest team was one that is working on autopilots and on their roadmap they have February pinned as being when they will address the autopilot issues.

So my take is they are fixing it but just not as quickly as we would like.

Let's hope this team is not only big but also knowledgeable.
