Davis-Monthan - B36

Inspired by seeing the Short Sunderland flying here in the forum, I thought I'd have a go at converting a few more oldies. This is a big fave of mine and it seems to have come across ok (no real usable cockpit but that's fine). First, the B-36B model -

And then the B-36H model - "four burnin', six turnin'"

They called it 'the Peacemaker', and everytime I see that I hear the old "Star Trekkin'" song in my head (we come in peace (shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill), we come in peace (shoot to kill, shoot to kill,Jim))

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Final shot with sun glint on wing is really extra nice.

Glad the Short Hythe made you think of this classic...🙂....Great job, here, porting the B-36 "Peacemaker"...!! The exteriors shots look marvelous...!

(What would be MSFS without a few of these aircraft roaming the sky...🙂...)...

Cheers John, I love the lighting and atmospherics in MSFS, you get some stunning moments sometimes.

Thanks P, I did sort-of manage a port of the Sunderland, but it doesn't fly well. I'll experiment a bit more to see if I can make it workable. I did get a nice Martin Mars portover though. I'll post some pix when I've got a bit of time.

Nice shots. Tucson is my hometown and it look nice in the shots you posted.

Cheers! I had a week there as part of a vacation trip once and really liked the place. For a rainy Brit like me, places like Tucson are really rather magical.
